Cardston Alberta Temple: An Historical Record is a collection of pictures initiated by Elizabeth Rosenvall at the time she served as the matron of the Cardston Alberta Temple, from 2003 to 2006.
She was assisted by the temple staff, her husband Lynn, who was serving as the Temple President and others interested in the project. Beth added to a limited collection of pictures she found stored in the temple by asking temple workers and patrons to donate family pictures. The older temple workers helped identify people in the pictures by name. Nearly all were identified, even those in the oldest pictures. Beth painstakingly placed the 1300 pages of pictures and documents, by category and with captions, in 11 archival quality volumes. The 11 volumes are held in the archives of the LDS Church in Salt Lake City Utah. All the pictures and documents in the collection were digitized by the church for use in public libraries and other approved locations.
