In partnership with local community stakeholders, the University of Lethbridge Library identifies materials for digitization which are of particular significance to Southern Alberta and Southern Albertans. Examples have included archival issues of many Southern Alberta Newspapers, maps from the Sir Alexander Galt Museum & Archives, and historic photographs from the Magee Family Collection. Each of these identified collections were acquired, digitized, described and made freely available on the World Wide Web using specialized digital library software.
